Breeze Point at Ocean

The staff were super friendly and personable, and the accommodation was comfortable and well maintained. I loved the pool as a place to unwind after exploring, and the onsite restaurant was a great bonus, with delicious food and a nice atmosphere. The Ocean Park Airbnb is in a perfect spot in the San Juan area, just a short walk from the beach and easy access to sun and surf. Highly recommend for a Puerto Rico stay.

I was really happy staying at Breeze Point with my 13 and 8 year old boys. The coded private gate made entry feel more secure, and the little pool was just right for them. My room was right by it, so I could watch them from the patio. There's a restaurant at the front of the building, which was handy for meals or a quick morning coffee. The place was clean, and the beds were super comfortable, even the daybed, which surprised me. The hot water worked great for us. At night the property was quiet, just what I wanted. We were also near lots of restaurants and the beach around the corner. Scooters across the street made quick trips convenient, and Ubers were fairly cheap, around $6-15 depending on the destination. It was a pleasure staying here.

The location is a real plus: the beach, Supermercados Plaza Loíza, and the T5 bus stop are only a few minutes away on foot. The bus service is better than Google Maps suggests, and Old San Juan takes about 40 minutes to reach. Staff were generally friendly and responsive. The room had less space than advertised, little storage, and nowhere to hang towels or wet clothes. Some lights were out, though enough worked, and one outlet was loose. We had no hot water, and the toilet paper disposal instructions were unclear. There was a $250 clog fine warning but no lidded bin, so we used the toilet closet in the outdoor common area. Wi-Fi also came and went. There are cameras all over. I understand the security concern, but the bright red recording light above the pool made it hard to relax. They also ask for sensitive personal information through insecure channels, which doesn't inspire trust. A secure portal would help. It wasn't a terrible stay, just not a great one. If the price works for you and you keep expectations in check, it's fine. It feels like the owners haven't stayed in these rooms recently. If they had, they'd see how close the place is to being something special.

We booked all seven rooms for our family, so it felt like we had our own private compound. The layout and furnishings matched the photos, and the plunge pool was just right for our toddlers. The beach was under a five-minute walk away, with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and Walgreens also within walking distance. Donostia, the restaurant on the property, served delicious food. Ms Valeria was professional, accommodating, and patient as she answered all my questions promptly. I first found the hotel on Booking. com, but called to book directly, which turned out to be a great choice. She also worked with our early arrival and later departure after some flights were delayed well past checkout. Although Ms Valeria wasn't on site, she made sure her assistant Javier looked after us. He was considerate and kind, and listened patiently while we vented about the four-hour flight delay. It was an amazing family adventure from the start, and I'd absolutely return. I highly recommend Breeze Point at Ocean. For that personal touch, book directly with the hotel and bring the whole family.
