Casa Santurce - Hostel

I was told at first that I'd get a refund, but after I left, they refused it. That felt extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I can't recommend the place unless this is properly addressed. There were bed bugs in the apartment when I arrived, so for health and safety reasons I left right away without spending a single night there. This is a serious hygiene problem that makes the accommodation unfit to stay in. Completely unacceptable.

The young woman was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay, and she made things much easier. The hostel itself wasn't luxurious, but I had no issue with that since it's a hostel, not a long-term hotel. The manager, though, was rude and disrespectful for no clear reason. When I asked for help, he said it wasn't his problem. I only had one night left, so I didn't let it ruin things. Some activities listed on the board downstairs never happened, but we managed to work things out ourselves. If you need help and Alex is at the front desk, it may be easier to wait or find the young woman.

I couldn't sleep because there was no working air conditioning and the bar and terrace were extremely noisy all night. At 11 p.m. I had to switch beds, and the one they gave me was dirty, with sheets that hadn't been changed. I left right away and found another hotel the next morning. This was the worst hotel experience of my trip, with cleanliness and comfort below even the most basic standards. Don't stay here.

We saw three roaches and the room smelled strongly of mold. There was no way we could sleep inside, so we tried the terrace instead, even though it was raining like crazy. Absolutely horrible. Please don't put yourself through this.
