HiBird- Apartment and Suites Hotel

The location made it easy to get around on foot, and most Uber rides were between $5 and $15. We really liked being close to so many places in San Juan and Condado, and I’d come back and recommend HiBird. The staff were warm and helpful, including when we asked them to clean the jacuzzi, which didn’t have a cover. The dresser shelves were pretty small for a week’s worth of things and only fit one person’s belongings. Music by the pool, right near our window and bed, could’ve been quieter or off late at night. Still, we enjoyed the stay and appreciated how hard the staff worked. Gracias Mi Nuevo Familia!!!

The location and the whole staff were great, but the stay fell well short of what I expected for the price. The rooms felt very plain and, in my opinion, weren’t worth the cost. AC Marriot has been the best hotel in San Juan by many miles. It’s a good hotel in general, but I won’t be back.

We really liked having a kitchen, especially when we picked up dinner one night and ate in the room. The staff were kind and helpful, and I’d gladly stay here again on another trip to San Juan. We were here for three nights and found it very convenient for both the beach and Old San Juan. Parking was the one small hassle. Our minivan couldn’t fit in the regular guest lot, so we used the restaurant area for oversized vehicles. It was a tight fit, though we always found a space. Since spots can’t be reserved, parking felt a bit stressful. That’s a general lack of large vehicle parking around here, not something unique to this hotel.

The private pool was quiet and relaxing, and the jacuzzi was great. Our room was clean and everything worked out fine. Room service kept on top of things, too. There are several restaurants nearby, and the beach is close. 10/10, I recommend it.
