Numero Uno Beach Apartments

We had a lovely weeklong vacation at this small boutique hotel in Ocean Park. It’s right on the beach, with steps to the water, though it isn’t a large high-rise. The staff were friendly and helpful, bringing whatever we wanted, including beach chairs. We enjoyed good food and having drinks and chips with guacamole brought right to our chairs. I only remember Meg's name, but she checked us in late at night and was helpful all through our stay. The rooms were clean, though small, and the beds were very comfortable. We didn’t have an ocean view from our room, but the shared second-floor balcony overlooking the ocean was a treat in the evenings. As an older traveler, I felt more at home with the crowd on weekdays. From Friday through Sunday, the beach filled up with younger travelers and locals windsurfing and drinking at the hotel. Happily, the bar was only open to hotel guests. It’s a great spot in Ocean Park, near good restaurants and right on the beach. Would absolutely come again!

We can’t wait to return to Numero Uno. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and our room was very comfortable. The hotel sits right on a beautiful beach. At the Cafe, we enjoyed great coffee, drinks, and food with a view of the beach.

The beach was lively, with locals, tourists, and kitesurfing to watch, and we loved having chairs set up with all the comforts close at hand. We found peace and quiet in the lovely neighborhood, staying in the apartments. Everything was clean, and the full kitchen had what we needed. Bring your own coffee and milk, though. There are great cafes a block up, and the main inn serves coffee at 7am. The staff were friendly, responsive, and on point. We’ll be back.

That beach behind número uno is unreal, and the fish tacos and drinks from the bar were great to enjoy with the view. We stayed in a spacious, cool, clean room with our own bathroom and shower. It's an old house, so every room has a separate key. The green door at the end of the street is easy to miss, but we buzzed in and were welcomed right away into this lovely place. We ended our honeymoon here and only wished we'd had more time. Everyone we met was so friendly. Hope we can come back soon!
