Esperanza Oceanfront Apartments

After a day at the beach, the dipping pool was just the thing for cooling off. We stayed in the upstairs room, which had everything we needed to be comfortable. Tyler greeted us with useful recommendations and made sure we had what we needed for our two nights. The spot is ideal, an easy walk to food and drinks, with lots of beautiful beaches nearby. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re staying in Esperanza.

Pebbles the dog is a squat legend, and Rosie the cat is delightful. Tyler was lovely and helpful, with great tips, coffee each morning, and books and games to borrow. We stayed in the love shack, which felt private and was really well equipped, with a huge shower. The place is peaceful even though the bars and seafront restaurants are just a short walk away. We were there in February 2026 and absolutely loved it. Would return in a heartbeat. Massive yes to this place.

The only thing I wish is that we’d stayed longer. Tyler was accommodating and knows the island inside out. My family is from Puerto Rico, and I appreciate people like him who come to the island, create a wonderful experience, and support the local economy. It has a cozy, comfortable feel and real hospitality. I’d suggest flying in, staying at least 3 days, and renting a UTV so you can explore Tyler’s recommendations. We’ll definitely be back.

Esperanza Inn was clean, comfortable, and so easy to get around from. Suzann and Tyler were warm, friendly hosts who did a lot to make sure we had what we needed and felt at ease. Their suggestions for things to see and do around Vieques were great. We loved our stay and definitely plan to return.
