Vieques Hostel Good Vibe House

We had the family room, which was clean, as were the shared spaces. The modest kitchen has what you need for simple meals, and I especially enjoyed seeing lizards, chickens, and friendly cats around. Vieques Good Vibe House is a good-value option for budget-minded travelers who want a convenient base. It’s centrally located, about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal and beaches, with several restaurants, grocery stores, souvenir shops, and golf-cart rentals within roughly 250m. There were two small drawbacks. The common area’s outdoor lighting can be poor at night, since it uses sensor lights. Also, the room door has an unusual latch but no lock. It does keep the door from opening easily, but some travelers might feel uneasy if they aren’t used to setting it correctly at bedtime. The accommodation is in Isabella II, while popular spots such as Esprenza are about 20 minutes away. If you haven’t brought cash for taxis, we used the "Vieques 741 Taxi" service. Visit their TripAdvisor page and use the website link to order a taxi, which lets you pay by card.

The host was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. My wife and I had such a lovely stay at the Good vibes house in Vieques, and we enjoyed the friendly guests too. Feeding the chickens next door and all the stray gatitos was a highlight.

The lounge was cute and really comfortable, and getting around was easy since the hostel is walkable from the ferry, Sea Glass beach, shops, and restaurants. I had a great visit, and the woman who owns the place was such a sweet, welcoming host.

The place feels like home, and our time in Vieques wouldn't have been nearly as great if we'd stayed elsewhere. We even added another night, and Ian made room for us without any hassle. 100% recommended, hands down! Gina's art, the plants, mellow music, and all the smiles made the guesthouse feel special. She and her manager Ian were a perfect team, sorting out anything we wanted to do. They booked a small kayak trip for just the three of us with their local friend in the Bioluminescent Bay. It was amazing, and a new moon night is the way to go. They also brought us a fresh, warm lunch and beers at the beach. Mornings could start with coffee or homemade sangria, then a custom cooler with lunch to take along and a ride to the beach. The guesthouse is an easy walk from the ferry, with tasty food, bars, the town plaza, colorful houses, and locals nearby. We had an absolutely amazing experience that felt made just for us.
