Getting around the island was easy with the convenient car rental next door. The team there was accommodating and helpful. At the hotel, the rooms were modern and spotless, the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the lounge had a fantastic view. I noticed some negative reviews, but many seemed to compare a small locally owned hotel on a remote island unfairly with big chain hotels in major cities. The staff here handle many roles and consistently go above and beyond to make sure guests have a good experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and I liked the pretty paintings and chic shabby look. Our room was near the jeep service area, so we could hear some cleaning and work during the day, but it wasn’t a big deal. I’m very sensitive to detergent smells, especially Faso, and unfortunately the room really smelled of it. I tried airing it out. If you’re sensitive like me, you might want to ask them beforehand not to use their disinfectant.

Old Crow Hotel & Suites was a wonderful surprise for the last three nights of our Vieques trip. We had to leave our original Airbnb unexpectedly and were scrambling for another place. Old Crow was one of the few with availability, and we were grateful they could take us on short notice. The hotel is full of art, with a fun, funky, hip vibe and lots of character. It feels thoughtfully put together and unique. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful, which made a stressful situation much easier. It’s centrally located, so getting around the island was easy. We especially appreciated how quiet it was at night, with no loud traffic and surprisingly few roosters compared with other places we stayed. I gave it four stars because I’m easy to please but hard to impress. We had a really pleasant visit and would absolutely recommend it to anyone going to Vieques.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly. The pool and amenities were good, too, and Old Crow Suites looks nice for a small island property. But there was a strong cleaning product smell, and we found a lizard on the bed pillow. Staff quickly helped get it out. We only stayed one night, and those two things made it a little uncomfortable, though it’s a decent island option.
