Tranquility by the Sea

We spent a week here with four adults and two kids, and the house felt like home in a paradise-by-the-sea kind of way. The big fenced yard was a godsend for the kids to run and explore safely. There’s an old man iguana who likes munching on a bush by the casita porch, and chickens wander around. We forgot to close the gate on our first day, so I had to play cowgirl and shoo horses out before they ate the flowers. The horses have figured out how to tip over the roadside trash cans, and apparently they like tacos. There are flowers, a lily pond, and palm trees, all stunning. It’s a short, beautiful walk to the beach. We’d go in the morning, sip coffee, play in the surf, and look for little shells. It isn’t quiet, exactly. You can hear the surf crashing in the mornings and evenings, and the rooster will greet your day. Dogs from the Humane Society bark for a few moments in the morning, but we had to pay attention to hear them and they didn’t bother us. I’ve read other reviews complaining about noise and honestly don’t understand. The wide tiled veranda has a grill, charcoal, fluid, tables, and chairs, a lovely place to eat with cool sea breezes. There are air conditioners, but we barely used them. I stayed in the pretty, quiet, comfortable casita, with its own shower, bed, seating, and porch. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, from kitchen things and linens to beach items and supplies left by previous guests. Glo was friendly, helpful, quick to answer, and went out of her way to make everything perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing. Town, with grocery stores, coffee shops, and gift shops, is a short drive away. I also had an amazing massage with Pam at Luna Solei Massage, five minutes away. We can’t wait to come back.
