Dar Sitti Aziza

Nabil made our family feel right at home. He shared stories and food, gave us small gifts during the stay, and was wonderful with local tips and breakfast. We had three rooms, and the shared spaces felt warm and welcoming. The restored property is lovely and just steps from Bethlehem's main sights, shops, and places to eat. There's also a cash discount.

We got around Bethlehem easily from here, with the central square and market just around the corner, along with the Church of Nativity. Both areas were interesting to wander through. Our taxi from Jerusalem took about 30 minutes and was an easy trip. The ride to Tel Aviv when we left was a little over an hour and just as straightforward. The hotel itself was lovely, with a welcoming owner and clean, cool rooms. The air-conditioning worked well. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the courtyard, listening to church bells, minarets, and birdsong under the shade of two old pistachio trees. We stayed three nights in June 2022.

We felt comfortable throughout our stay, thanks to Mr. Nabil, who was so helpful. He drove us to see some sights, pointed out the best Banksy paintings around the city, and offered us traditional food. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jams. The house was beautiful, with a private second-floor garden full of herbs, flowers, and a pistachio tree. It sits right in the heart of the city, so it was easy to get around and visit places like the Church of Nativity. We also got an easy taxi ride from the house straight to our next hotel in Jerusalem. I’d recommend this homelike hostel even to people who usually stay in hotels. Lovely place! 😊

The morning food was my favorite part of staying at Dar Sitti Aziza. It was fresh, healthy, and organic. The staff were kind, always available, and eager to help. The boutique has a lot of stories behind it, and I loved hearing them. I had a very nice stay.
