The nearby mosque was loud, which was the one drawback. Our host still did everything possible to make us comfortable. The historic house itself is lovely, with a spacious, comfortable room, and breakfast was great. We were well looked after.

The owner speaks Spanish as well as English, and it was great to have someone to talk with in Spanish here. When I got back around 8 PM last night, he wanted to hear about my day. He introduced me to his wife and two sons, and is clearly very proud of them. I also had dinner in his restaurant today and chatted with another guest. The place is right in the heart of Bethlehem, in a secured shared space with another hotel, and I felt extremely welcome.

Jack and his family made me feel at home from the moment I arrived at the Bread House. Their warmth and care are what make the place special. The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, and the atmosphere is charming. Staying there felt like more than just finding a bed. Jack and his family make guests feel like part of their extended family, whether you’re traveling alone or with others. In the heart of the city, it’s a comfortable, memorable place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough. A million stars out of five. Anan.

I arrived on my own with few plans, and the couple running this lovely old guesthouse helped me make good use of my time. They were full of suggestions for things to do, and their people carrier means they can arrange day trips around the west Bank.
