I stayed for three nights in April, including the night of the blackout. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful, making sure I had food and water. It’s a farm, so you can walk around and spot goats, and even turtles in a pond out in the fields. The pool was still closed, so I can’t comment on it. There’s usually a kitty around to pet, especially at breakfast. I rode there on my motorcycle and did the “103 Castelo Branco” ride from Ride magazine. The main road has a large gate for entering the property. The parking area is a little further on, beside the house, and has shade. It felt very safe and was nice for a motorcycle. There are plenty of nice things to see and do. I even made it to a festival in a nearby town, about 10 minutes away.

The night sky is amazing, with almost no light pollution, and there are lovely views and places to explore nearby. We had a very peaceful weekend at this quiet place, and the pool was really nice too. We loved it and would happily stay for a week.

The room was fine, but the bathroom wasn’t fully clean. The worst part was having only a hand shower. It’s a pain to wash with one hand while holding the shower head.

The pool is lovely for hot days, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh, good-quality products. The spacious, comfortable rooms are tastefully decorated and made for a restful stay. It’s a great place to relax, read in the shade, take a walk, and enjoy nature. Herdade dos Mestres is a beautiful, well-kept rural retreat with a peaceful natural setting. We were greeted with kindness and attention, and felt at home right away. It also works well for families and older people, with comfort, accessibility, and a calm atmosphere. A very authentic stay away from the crowds, with modern comforts. I highly recommend it and would return.

The rooms are well equipped and really spacious, and the pool is wonderful for relaxing to the sounds of nature. The setting is fantastic for anyone wanting to unwind among the Alentejo countryside. The host was incredibly welcoming, and whenever we needed anything, help came quickly. Breakfast was exceptional, with seasonal products from the region.
