We were cycle touring and the staff kindly arranged a secure place out back for our bikes. The pool was great at the end of the day, too. We stayed one night in a twin room while passing through. It was large, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a fridge, though a little tired. The price seemed high, but it was still high season. We added the breakfast buffet for only a few euros more in the room price and thought it was good value, with enough choice.

Right next door there’s a bank, car hire shop, a great supermarket with everything including a good butcher, plus a souvenir shop, hairdressers and a lovely restaurant with good prices and a three-course tourist menu. The two men who run it are wonderful. Check-in was easy, and the staff were amazing. The apartment was immaculately clean, with all the cooking utensils needed for self catering and constant hot water.

A quiet, basic, clean and friendly place at a very reasonable price, with a few local shops and restaurants nearby. You’ll need your own transport or be prepared to take a taxi, as the buses don’t run often. My daughter and I went to Alberfuria, and the round trip cost 20 euros.

We’ve been here five times now, and Celia and all the staff are brilliant. They’re super clean and do everything they can for you. It’s a relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle, with beaches nearby and Albufeira and Villa mourra a taxi ride away. The local restaurants are great. Mira Parque, next to the well-stocked supermarket, is especially good. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is here. We’ll be back again next year. Perfect, A*.
