Casa Mitchell

Our apartment could use an upgrade, but it was quiet and friendly, about 10 mins from the Old Town. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfortable. Our two bedroom apartment even had two shower rooms, which was a win. There’s a lovely small swimming pool, and they provided pool towels and lounger cushions. We were in room 56 and had a really nice terrazzo area outside.

It’s cute and basic, adults only, and close to everything while still being lovely and quiet. We only realized after a day or two that the busy area with shops, bars and entertainment was just a 5 min walk away. There are several ways to get to the nearby beach, though walking through the tunnel was easiest for us. The staff were friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is excellent, close to the old town and all that comes with it. There’s a restaurant next door, a cafe across the street, a supermarket up the road and a corner shop seconds away. The rooms were clean and well equipped, though still fairly basic. Unlike some self-catering places, they supplied tea towels and a microwave. We weren’t quite sure about the cleaning schedule at first. It’s twice a week, but there were plenty of clean towels and other things to use. We also got a sun lounger mat and a pool towel. The pool is very small, but fine, and the area around it gets lots of sun. I did miss having a quiet pool bar, though that may suit others. I also wished the balcony got a bit more sun, but that’s the luck of the draw. This was an incredible bargain. Just be aware that the area is hilly and mostly cobblestones. I wouldn’t recommend it at all if you have mobility issues. If you’re only a bit unfit, like me, you’ll manage, but I’ve no idea how wheelchair users would cope. Expect to climb at some point!

The apartment was basic but had everything we needed, and it was cleaned twice a week. It was nice and quiet, the two grandchildren loved the pool, and there were extra beach towels for all of us, something I haven’t found anywhere else I’ve stayed. The beach is a short distance away and the Marina a little further. There are lots of hills and steps walking back from the main area, beach or Marina, but taxis are always around for anyone less mobile. We even had an ironing board and iron in the apartment at no extra charge. The lady at reception was lovely and sorted out my granddaughter’s hand luggage, which had been taken by mistake during one of the drop offs on arrival. She had it back within 15 minutes, so we could start our holiday with a happy granddaughter. She was glad to help with any other questions too. Thank you for the warm welcome and stay.
