Casa Portuguesa

At night the rooftop terrace, which has been made into a balcony, is lovely. It has two chairs, though there were four of us. The house was clean, and the linens and towels were good. In front, a beautiful grapevine gives lovely shade, and it would be nice to have breakfast or lunch outside if it weren’t for the unbearable cat urine smell. The house is modest but has what you need for a pleasant stay if you’re not expecting much. I misunderstood a photo and thought it showed the front door, but it’s actually a corner lot. There’s public parking nearby. The beach is nice, though not one of the best; the scenery is what makes it appealing. When you arrive, plan to buy bath soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper and the other basics at a supermarket. They don’t even provide bottled water.
