We stayed in a local rental close to Praia dos Alemães, with access to a private pool that was clean and well maintained. The apartment itself was in good condition and did what we needed. Parking was a constant problem. The air conditioners also seemed neglected, with filters packed with dust. Maintenance must be very far apart, and I wonder if they realize how harmful that can be to health. They didn’t work very well either, more like fans than air conditioning. It’s not the worst place I’ve seen, and it serves its purpose.
