Hostel DP Albufeira

I was left standing outside for 45 minutes because staff said they were busy and couldn’t open the main door. I also spoke with the manager by phone. She was disrespectful, hung up without offering any solution, and refused to give me her name when I asked. She told me that if I had such a problem, I could find another hotel. I asked for my money back, but was told they wouldn’t refund me and still wouldn’t open the door. I found the whole experience deeply disappointing and felt the staff were racist. I’m going to complain to the authorities. The managers don’t know how to speak to customers, and I’d tell people to avoid this place. It was the worst hotel experience for me.

The terrace and pool are lovely places to unwind in the sun, and the BBQ area is a nice extra. I also found the modern, fully equipped kitchen convenient for cooking. This is a pleasant budget stay in Albufeira, with useful amenities for a sunny break. There are some things that need attention: the gate and doors aren’t always locked, the number of bathrooms and toilets feels inadequate for the guests, and parts of the property need renovation and maintenance. It would be great if the pool bar opened again. With better attention to service, upkeep, and security, Suites & Beds DP Albufeira could become one of Albufeira’s top budget options.

It’s not worth staying here if you need somewhere to sleep. Boys staying at the property make noise late into the night and through to morning, and when you complain about their loud music, they ignore you and turn it up to annoy you. The property doesn’t seem to care about guests, and I’d expect the worst. Only one receptionist was kind and went out of her way to apologize. Her name is Claudia. Getting an invoice took a full week and six or seven calls to different receptionists. Not recommended.

It’s a lovely place, and I’m satisfied apart from a couple of things. The bathroom light was off, which bothered me a little, and another guest stole my Versace Eros perfume. The Brazilian hosts were lovely, by the way.
