Quinta do Lagar has a lot of potential, which is why I've given it five stars. With time, I'm sure it could become a first-class holiday spot, and I'd be glad to support the Owner. Best of luck, The Mother. Keeping the accommodation clean and tidy is easier when guests have good cleaning supplies and equipment. A locked wardrobe could be set aside for four changes of linen, cleaning materials, kitchen towels, and the usual essentials. Organization makes a real difference. I'd expect a high standard of cleaning, along with good-quality towels and sheets.

It's a good, inexpensive place with a lovely outdoor area and swimming pool. The water from the tap tastes odd, though, and hot water is limited. They also charge extra for WiFi.

The people were very kind, and the place itself is beautiful. The bed was much too small for two, and WiFi only worked at the "owner's house", where the router was.

The accommodation was damp, mouldy, and disgusting. When we told the manager it wasn't suitable for our asthmatic daughter, they were rude and unhelpful and refused to refund us. We were left stranded with two young children. Shameful.

It's very quiet and relaxing, just right if you like to take things slow. You'll need a car.
