T2 Bosque de São José

We loved the apartment. It's very nice, clean, and comfortable, and I'd definitely recommend it. I'd come back, despite a couple of things that bothered us. One day, when we went to barbecue, the maintenance man and two others started cutting boards almost right beside us while we were eating. The apartment is on the first floor, and the people above are too noisy. I don't know if they own it, but they roll chairs around and let the children run about as if it were a playground, even at 12:20 AM Portuguese time.

The thing that turned my planned 4-star review into a 5 was what happened after we got home. My youngest had left behind the stuffed animal she sleeps with every night. The managers found it and sent it internationally, even when I kept offering to pay the postage. It arrived a few days later, and she could sleep peacefully again. That kind of care deserves the top rating, and I think we'll come back. We rented two apartments, one for four people and one for five. Both were spacious, clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds. They were about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, away from the busiest crowds, while still giving quick access to the road to Albufeira. There's also an Intermarché nearby. It's handy in a pinch, though I found it ridiculously expensive. The complex has a modest, unsupervised pool with loungers, enough for the kids to enjoy. We did have a couple of maintenance problems: air conditioning remotes were missing batteries or didn't work, and the units in one apartment needed refrigerant, as they couldn't cool below a certain temperature.

The apartments are great, with a barbecue and pool, and everything is very well looked after.

It's a very nice, gated complex, with pools and a wooded area that has a barbecue and kitchen.
