The only thing I liked was how close it was to the beach. Everything else was awful. The bathroom was filthy and the floor was peeling. We had to put our own sheets on the bed, which exposed dirt and rubbish underneath it and in the gap. The bars played loud music at night, and it got louder as the night went on. To cook, we had to go downstairs to the bar for dishes and cutlery, but there wasn't even a bowl. All they had were plastic cutlery and paper plates. The place was badly organised too. We booked a few nights for two people, but at check-in they tried to charge us double. They'd also forgotten we'd already paid a deposit, until we showed them the bill. I've got plenty more complaints, but that's enough. Wish you'd never have to book this hostel. Stay away.

The location is perfect, but the place is really dirty. My room was very warm, and I found dirt under the bed and by the window. They don't clean properly. The shower gets dangerously hot, hot enough to burn you, even though it's summer. I stayed for three days and never saw any hostel staff. I don't recommend it.

The bathroom setup was a problem: just one on our floor, and guests from other floors used it too. The shower was so cramped we couldn't wash our whole bodies properly. Even basic things cost extra, including kitchen use and towels, with another charge if a towel got dirty. The building is tiny and getting into the room was awkward. Several of us bumped our heads. The hostel sits right in the party district, so there was noise, though less than I expected. At night the owner slept on the floor outside our room and came to look in several times. We left the balcony door open because it was too hot. When we arrived, she ignored us for about five minutes while she was on a phone call. After that, she came across like a robot and wasn't friendly. At checkout she blamed us for breaking something, but we hadn't. This was the worst hostel of our Portugal trip, and also one of the most expensive. We like partying, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The price and location are the good parts. With lively, busy streets all around, it can get noisy at night. Inside, it feels like a basic hostel that's neither very modern nor very clean. It wasn't exactly dirty, but it didn't feel neat either.

The owners were fantastic and really helpful. There's also a terrace where you can relax with friends. The beach is very close, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, along with lots of bars for going out at night. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone planning to party.
