We found the place hard to locate, and the photos gave a misleading impression. It isn't a hotel. Our room was cold and there was no kettle, which made for a thoroughly miserable stay.

There was nowhere to park, and the service was poor.

The owner, Joaquín, was really friendly, and his son made mealtimes more fun. Service was exceptional. Our two-bed room cost €80 a night, the cheapest option nearby, but the window looked onto a very narrow street rather than the river. There was no hairdryer.

The location is great and everything else was fine. The stairs are the one issue: they're very steep and feel a bit risky when you're hauling a lot of luggage.

The rooms were clean, airy and new, and everything worked. We stayed at hotel casa do rio nem in August 2023 and had a very good experience. Sr.Joaqui, the owner, was very courteous and friendly. It's right in the center but quiet enough to rest, and we didn't need the car at all. The price felt fair for what they offer.
