Cocoon Eco Design Lodges

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and waking up to nature sounds each morning was a delight. The lodges were thoughtfully designed, with modern amenities alongside a rustic feel. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings helped us relax. It was a magical, eco-conscious escape, and we left refreshed and inspired. I'd love to go back, and highly recommend it.

We loved the quiet and minimalist style at Cocoon, which made it easy to feel connected to nature. It's a lovely spot for a peaceful stay in the forest. Keep in mind that it's self-catering and isolated, so you'll need a car to get there and around. The access road is unpaved, and a few things in the cabins need renovation.

Just getting there puts you in a relaxed mood: the cabins are about ten minutes from the main road and surrounded by nature. It's a special getaway and great with kids. We highly recommend it and will be back!

The pond gives this lovely place a really nice feel, and the frogs are sure to win you over. It stays peaceful and relaxing even when full. The lodges are looking a bit worn and could use an update. There isn't much gear for sitting outside, and with more than three people they feel cramped. In summer, flies and mosquitoes can be a nuisance, though the flies go away after sunset. Bring a mosquito repellent stick. Once you know the way, it's close to both Comporta and the highway. You might catch sight of foxes in your headlights at night. Service is limited.
