The complex is in a beautiful spot, around 15 km from the Atlantic. We rented a family holiday home that wasn’t in the high price range, but the house was very run-down.

A great spot for a quiet, restful holiday surrounded by nature. I recommend Villa 62, it’s nicely decorated and the owners are very friendly.

We’ve stayed in two of the houses. They’re nicely private, and the condominium sits in a pleasant forest setting. The decor in both houses felt sad and unwelcoming, with a jumble of reused furniture from different places that didn’t go together. Villa 97’s oven was broken. We reported it but never got a reply.

There was plenty in the large house for a group to stay and cook, including sofas, kitchen equipment and a very good pool. But when we arrived, the cleaning was disappointing. Some beds hadn’t been made and not all the rooms seemed clean. The sheets were left in a compartment, so we had to make the beds and clean the space ourselves. Eating outside was impossible because of an unusually bad fly infestation.

It’s peaceful here, surrounded by nature, and just 15 minutes from Comporta beach. You’ll need your own car. There are lots of nearby restaurants in Carrasqueira, Comporta and Alcácer de Sal. The uninhabited part of the estate also has many marked trails, making it a good place for trail running.
