We hope to come back next year. Val took us in even though we hadn’t given any advance notice: we knocked, and five minutes later we had a wonderful host and the coziest place in Lisbon. Everything about the stay was great.

Val, from Brazil, was always smiling and ready to help, and the rooms were bright, spacious and clean. There’s a balcony running around the place with a door from every room, plus a nice bathroom and linens. The location is great, almost “on top” of Mercado de Algés, and close to the bus terminal and train station. Excellent place to stay in Algés. Forget other places, stay here. I’ll be back!

They cancelled my booking less than 48 hours before I was due to arrive, without explaining why or offering another option. I’d booked a year ahead and paid in full. Avoid this place at all cost.
