The sunset over the beach is unforgettable, and both the room and restaurant were highlights of my time on the Rota Vicentina. You get lovely views of Praia de Odeceixe from each. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. I had the recommended local wine, fish soup, monkfish pasta with shrimp, and mista algarvia. Everything was delicious.

The beachside location is great, though some rooms don’t have a beach view. My room felt damp, and the dehumidifier was loud. I could clearly hear plumbing from the apartment upstairs, which seemed to drain through an open gutter in the back courtyard. The staff were very helpful and fixed the wifi quickly.

Dinner was lovely, with fresh seafood and a sunset view. It’s a great spot right by the beach, and the breakfast was perfect too.

Falling asleep to the waves breaking on shore all night is such a joy. We love Odeceixe, and our room has one of the best beach views. Waking up to it is a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, and the team, João, Bernardo, Adelino, and the others, are lovely, attentive, friendly, and always smiling. Casa Dorita is a must if you enjoy fresh fish grilled over charcoal. It was spectacular, and breakfast was great too. Prices are reasonable, and the place has kept its special authenticity: traditional, unpretentious Portugal as it used to be. With the country changing fast, preserving places like this matters. The room is a little dated and the bathroom could use renovation. There’s also some damp on the walls after winter storms lifted roof tiles and let water in; they haven’t fully dried yet. There was a dehumidifier, and with ventilation it felt fine. At this time of year there are quite a few small flies. They’re harmless but annoying around food and drinks, so you need to cover things up.
