I came here for a YTT and loved the place. It's magical, quiet, and peaceful, though it takes a trip to get there. They're off-grid, and the food is delicious and nature-based. Breakfast was the best. The staff are gentle and service-oriented, and the service is amazing. Seeing the stars and the Milky Way while brushing your teeth was such a great experience.

I've been coming to this magical valley since its very first season. I started by helping as a volunteer, then came back as a friend, and I'll be holding a retreat here soon. Mario and Joana have created a place surrounded by nature where you can safely meet yourself and other people, and reconnect with what matters. The quiet can make you look at yourself, which isn't always easy, but the land has a special energy that lets transformation happen. There's so much love, care, and attention in how this place was created. Come find out for yourself. Love to the Quinta Family! 🧡

We came for morning yoga and an organic breakfast, and had an amazing time. The class was really chill, with a lovely view of the peaceful green surroundings from the shala. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with fresh organic options that suited vegetarians. The volunteer team greeted us so warmly and made the visit even better.

The tents and huts are clean while still keeping that wild feel, and there are both indoor and outdoor showers. Cooking facilities are good and well kept. Quinta Alma sits in a beautiful wooded valley. On a cooler day, you can hike and spot wild boar, owls, and lizards. The staff are kind, helpful, and full of local suggestions. The entrance is along a pretty rough dirt track, so I'd recommend having a car or bike for getting to nearby beaches or into town for restaurants. Truly an epic stay.

The peaceful setting, nature, and breakfast were the good parts. Everything else left us extremely disappointed. The tent's outside area was unusable: there was no terrace, brambles covered the ground in front, and the tall grass and lack of upkeep made us avoid the wobbly outdoor table. It looked nothing like the website or Instagram photos. At 160 euros a night, the tent, which wasn't the "safari premium one," felt exorbitantly priced. It was unbearably hot inside during the day and humid at night, and we had a cold shower in the morning. The evening meal cost 80 euros for three people, including our 2.5 year old, for organic garden vegetables and a piece of meat with rice. A local craft beer was 5 euros. With breakfasts and one dinner, the total for two nights came to 420 euros. We got no answer on the booking message board when we asked about activity prices, and we never met or communicated with the owners. The reviews and photos had made us look forward to the place, so we left feeling we'd been defrauded. Ecology, catering, and hospitality all require real know-how, and at these prices it doesn't feel right to rely only on untrained volunteers. We left with regret, though I wish you all the best.
