Downtown Lisbon

We were supposed to stay until Monday, but this has been such a nightmare that we're now desperately trying to find somewhere else. Service has been awful, and we felt completely on our own. We had to ask again and again for help with our bags, and staff were rude and indifferent. In the pouring rain, they watched us struggle to get the stroller through the door without helping. We arrived Monday at noon and nobody was at the front desk to check us in. The elevator was broken, even though they'd promised it would be fixed before we arrived. It still wasn't working, and they put us on the fifth floor with our five-month-old baby. They also refused our request for a first-floor room, despite the difficulty of carrying a baby and luggage up five flights of stairs. The only positives were early check-in, a nice view, good beds, and having a kitchen. If you have a child, absolutely do not stay here. Save your money, time, and sanity, and stay far away.

The apartment was clean, nicely equipped, and in a perfect spot right downtown. It is noisy, of course. They promise WhatsApp service around the clock, but hardly answer, and there seems to be no staff around.

The location isn't accessible for Uber or taxis. Check-in was a bad experience, and when the elevator was out for two days, nobody helped with the luggage. One staff member said I had to manage it myself. I stayed in two apartments, and both had the same problem with the shower boxes, which need fixing.

We spent three nights here and enjoyed every minute. The apartment was huge and clean, and felt like home, with everything we needed, including a washer. The balcony view was beautiful, and the staff were friendly. It's right in the center, yet the soundproof window kept out the street noise. If I come back to Lisbon, this will be my only choice.
