After a dull night drive from Lisbon, my partner and I arrived at 4:30 am and were greeted by what might be the most awesome dude in Portugal. Vitor made us tea, gave us a quick rundown of things to do nearby, and asked what time we wanted breakfast. Since we were the only guests, he was probably more flexible than usual about the timing. The room was just right: plenty of space, great amenities, comfortable beds, and a good shower. The plumbing uses a self-contained composting system, so you can't put tissue or anything unnatural down the loo. It's easy to forget because it looks and works like a normal toilet, but the place is so beautiful that following the rule felt easy. By the time we got up in the morning, well, afternoon, Vitor had set out an amazing breakfast of homemade farm treats. I won't spoil the surprise, but it was there every morning and got better each time. There's lots to see and do around the area. The house has plenty of reading material, and Vitor knows an incredible amount about pretty much everything. I'm sure he'll offer suggestions if you're not sure where to go or what to do. Free bikes make exploring easy too. The place is beautiful and moves at a slow pace, so our 3 nights felt much longer. It's been my favourite visit to Portugal so far, and I can't recommend it enough. Vitor, your enthusiasm and passion for the area are infectious. Thanks for making this such a wonderful trip. We hope to see you and Sirius again!

A peaceful setting, excellent breakfast, and a stunning beach no more than 5 minutes away on foot. The room is a bit basic, though, and the comfort level is why I'd take off one star.

The breakfast was so damn delicious. You can hear the ocean from bed, and there's a beautiful beach nearby with huge waves and great rocks, reached by a natural path from the accommodation. All in all, amazing, especially for such an unbeatable price.

We loved staying here. The hospitality was amazing, and the food was incredible!
