INATEL Caparica

The place was very quiet and well kept, with secure parking behind a gate. It's also wheelchair accessible: there's a ramp at the main entrance and an elevator inside. The clerk who greeted me was friendly and checked me in quickly. I noticed how clean everything was, from reception and the hallways to the large room, bathroom, shower and bed sheets. The restaurant area is a short walk away but still within the complex, and the beach is also within walking distance. I was looking for somewhere to stay for the night, and it was getting late, so I did a quick search and stopped here. A very pleasant experience, and I'd come back if I needed a place again.

The rooms were roomy, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms clean. We stayed for three nights last weekend, and getting into Lisbon by Uber was easy. The staff were polite and really helpful. Breakfast was the letdown: tiny rolls, and a few of the juices didn't seem fresh. Still, a nice place close to the Atlantic and Portugal's capital. I'd recommend it to anyone after that kind of stay :)

Dinner and breakfast were the bright spot. The menu wasn't huge, but there was enough for different tastes, with fish, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheeses at dinner each day, and everything was tasty. The restaurant service was good too, and the chef was really great. The location felt awkward, about a 30-minute walk from central Costa da Caparica and 10 minutes from the ocean, with no shops or restaurants nearby. In the room, the furniture was old and it seemed they only had twin rooms. We couldn't get an iron unless we paid for the service. The shampoo and shower gel came just once for our three-day stay, only two small sachets for two people, so I had to ask reception for more on the third day.

The beach was great, just a five-minute walk away, and the pool and bar were excellent. Staff were friendly and easy to reach. A few things in the room were inconvenient: no opener for minibar drinks, no spare socket to charge a phone, and an older bathroom. Breakfast was in a different building. The TV did have HDMI for connecting your own devices. I wouldn't choose full pension, since the buffet was plentiful but, in my opinion, local restaurants could easily beat it on both quality and price for lunch or dinner.
