Incosta Surf House

Reservations seemed badly managed, with overlapping bookings written out by hand on paper. The owners or managers treated me terribly, with the kind of arrogance you'd expect from people who think they don't need customers. They answered back with things like, “I'm very busy, so this conversation is over,” and “that's unfortunate, but never mind,” in a sarcastic tone that doesn't suit a place open to the public. The cynicism and poor treatment spoiled this booking and put me off ever booking again.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but our room was a poor fit. It was a double room made from the house's old garage, with its own bathroom, though the shower faced the bed and was screened only by a curtain. The bathroom was tiny. There was no air conditioning, just a fan that used water, and the room got very hot. They did offer us a room change on day two.

Really clean, cozy place with spacious rooms and wonderful, supportive staff. The bunk beds were the best I've seen, and they were clean and well equipped. Recommended.

Good hostel for a night's sleep. The rooms have a nice view and are in good condition.
