Kuta Beach House didn't live up to expectations. There were lots of drunk people and parties going on all the time, which isn't great if you're after somewhere quiet and relaxed. I also felt the staff showed little empathy towards guests. The gate was another problem: it made a lot of noise every time someone opened or closed it, disturbing us and interrupting sleep. If you want a peaceful hostel with attentive staff, I'd look elsewhere.

I got there at 19:00 and the door was locked. No one answered my email or call to let me in. I ended up paying 50 euros for a room at a nearby hostel because it was the only one available. Don't book this hostel.
