Mercure Lisboa Almada

This is my fourth time staying here when I need an overnight stop in Lisbon. Parking is hassle-free, there’s a nice restaurant inside, and a huge mall is nearby. The hotel is also physically connected to a Lidl grocery store, which makes things very convenient.

The Mercure Lisboa Hotel is in Campolide, near Sete Rios metro and train station, so getting to central Lisbon, the zoo and the Gulbenkian Museum is convenient. It’s outside the historic center, though, and can feel a bit far out if you want to explore on foot. Many guests like the varied, satisfying breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly service. The reception team is often described as professional and helpful. Some guests mention traffic or aircraft noise, occasional maintenance issues, and inconsistent service. A few felt the soundproofing and decor could be better, or had less positive interactions with staff. It can be good value for business trips or short stays, but some guests don’t think it quite meets four-star expectations.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and check-in was quick. I arrived late and was only there for one night, so heading out for dinner wasn’t an option for me. The room service menu seemed quite limited, while the attached restaurant had more choices but felt a bit expensive.

There’s a Lidl right beside the hotel, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was clean and great, though it’s quite far from most attractions.
