Residencial Mar e Sol

I checked out after just one night, despite having planned to stay at least five. The receptionist's disrespectful behavior was unbelievable. When I tried to complain, I was told the manager was unavailable all day because he wasn't working, and she wouldn't even give me her name. I've always found people in Portugal kind, hospitable, and helpful, whether on the street or in hotels and restaurants. This woman clearly didn't grow up in Portugal. The rooms are basic, noisy, and full of flaws. You can hear every footstep in the hallway and every little sound from the neighboring room. With the low off-season price, those things might be bearable, but that treatment wasn't. It was the worst hotel experience I've had in Portugal, maybe anywhere in the world.

A lovely, clean spot for a relaxing stay in Costa da Caparica. The staff are super friendly, and it's close to the beach.

I was very happy with my stay for less than 50 euros. The staff were super friendly, so the bathroom was the only thing holding me back from giving five stars. The walls could use a better clean higher up, and the shower drain was leaking slowly and seemed partly blocked. For that price, though, don't hesitate.

The rooms are clean, and breakfast is included as a buffet, by appointment from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. The fridge in the room is puzzling because it switches off when you remove the card. If I leave the card in and take only the key, the cleaner takes the card and hands it to reception, so the food in the fridge spoils.
