The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with plenty of fresh fruit, several kinds of yoghurt, good bread, and coffee à volonté. When the weather cooperates, you can eat outside, which is handy since the breakfast room is small. This is a lovely guesthouse just outside Almancil, with beautiful traditional decorations and a friendly host. My room stayed cold during my visit, though, and even the sturdy air conditioning didn't really warm it up.

I only stayed one night while driving up the west coast. The room was lovely and thoughtfully designed. In the morning, the owner poured tasty coffee and fresh milk into my travel mug, and even offered me a piece of freshly made cake.

After biking more than 1000k along the coasts of Portugal and staying in several nice places, my husband and I can confidently say Almeixar guest house has been the best in many ways. It's clean, private, quiet, and close to everything. Thank you, Richard, for a great stay, and please thank your Dad for his kindness too. 🚴♂️👍🌹

We wish we could have stayed longer. This is one of our favorite stops along the coast of Portugal while riding our bikes for 1000k+. The GH is first class, really clean, nicely decorated, quiet, and in a perfect location. Thanks for making us feel so welcome 😊♥️
