Quinta dos Amigos

It really is prettier than the photos suggest. The place feels peaceful, with care put into every detail, especially the wide variety of plants and their upkeep. It could suit couples, friends, or families. We brought our 2-year-old, who loved the swings, trampoline, gardens, and toddler pool. The water there is shallow, and a large parasol provides shade. There's also a little library with books for adults and children of all ages, along with board games. The two main pools are large, including one for adults only, and there were always enough loungers. Towels can be bought or rented for 5€ per stay. A small shop sells basics, cold drinks, toys, and souvenirs. Each well-kept apartment is different and has its own patio and BBQ. There isn't air conditioning, but fans are provided. We managed fairly well during the hot days: it cools down at night, and open windows let the rooms air out. All the windows have sturdy fly screens. We also tried the on-site massage therapy and highly recommend Carla's fantastic, relaxing massages. A couple of restaurants and a small supermarket are within walking distance, though having a car is probably more practical. Quarteira beach is an 8-minute drive, or roughly 7€ by Uber. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.
