Amadora Palace Hotel

The location made getting around easy, with a bus stop, train station, supermarkets, a park, and restaurants all within walking distance. Staff were extremely friendly. Pedro and Anna were especially helpful with our questions, though we didn’t catch the other staff members’ names. Breakfast was the same each day, but the cafeteria lady served it cheerfully. The rooms are a bit small but manageable. The bathroom, especially the commode, was extremely tiny. I’d recommend the hotel if a small toilet won’t bother you.

I slept really well during my three-day stay, and the blackout curtains worked great. Everything was clean, and I liked the breakfast. The hotel is literally two minutes from the Amadora station, which was perfect for the location. Eugenia at reception was kind and attentive. Nothing felt like too much trouble to ask. You get what you pay for with the room. The AC wasn’t very strong, but it was okay. It wasn’t soundproof, though I didn’t mind.

The people were very kind, and they serve a generous breakfast. There’s secure underground parking with an elevator. Getting to the place can be a bit complicated at times, and the prices are pretty high, though that’s because you’re in Lisbon.

Breakfast was good, with breads, cakes, cheese, ham, yoghurt, fruit, juice, and coffee. The breakfast attendant was rushed off her feet, and the room can fill up, so you might have to wait for a table. The rooms look modern and are clean, and the bathrooms are nice. The shower doors are a squeeze to get through if you’re a bigger person. Beds felt a little hard to me, though I’m used to a softer mattress. The location is fairly central, which brings plenty of outside noise, and the thin walls mean you hear a lot from inside the hotel too. It gets very noisy at night.
