We felt at home from the moment Marta and her husband welcomed us, and the dog and goat were adorable too. The peaceful setting among the hills was beautiful. Our room had been renovated and was really nice, and breakfast came with fresh orange juice and homemade bread. We ate by the saltwater pool, looking out over the quiet village and surrounding hills. A lovely place for a calm break close to nature and animals. Marta and her husband were so helpful, and we'd love to return and explore more of the area.

The homemade breakfast treats were a highlight, and the animals came over to greet us. We had a great time at Casa do Rancho, surrounded by beautiful scenery. There’s a pool to relax by, or you can head out to explore the region’s nature spots and restaurants. Top place!

That narrow mountain road made the trip in feel like driving through a rainforest, somewhere completely different. At the end of the property there’s a little house with two rooms to rent, and it’s a must. Martha, her husband, and Miss Goat welcomed us so warmly. If you want nature, views, hospitality, and a quieter side of Portugal while still being not far from a bigger city, this is the place to breathe.
