Globo Happy Hostel

Carla made a real difference for us. She was helpful before and throughout our stay, answered our questions at any hour, and made everything run smoothly. We were eight friends sharing two rooms just among ourselves, which worked out really well. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the communal spaces had a cosy feel. The location is perfect, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

I spent three nights in the female dorm and had a great time. The quiet, calm atmosphere was just what I liked, almost like a coworking space. Even though the hostel is central, it was quiet at night and I slept well. It’s also very clean. The four bed female dorm has its own bathroom, which is a real plus, and the kitchen and dining area have everything you need, including tea and coffee. The location is spot on: close to the bus, next to a grocery store, and only a few minutes from the water. Carla was welcoming and quick to respond whenever I had a question or needed something. My one issue was the smoke drifting inside when people smoked just outside the kitchen or common area. It felt like I was breathing in cigarettes, and I really wish smoking weren’t allowed there. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was nice and clean, and the shared kitchen had everything we needed. It’s right in the centre of town. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, offered lots of suggestions for food and sightseeing, and were very courteous. One of my best hostel stays.

This felt more like a hotel than a hostel, and I had an excellent stay. The location in the middle of Angra was great, and I enjoyed every moment. It was stylish, clean and very affordable. The room was warm, the bed comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. There were books and a TV, the reception staff were friendly and competent, and the cleaner was fine. Highly recommended.
