The sunset views over the shore are stunning, and the place has everything you need, including a little barbecue. There’s also a pool close to the woods. I highly recommend it.

Our stay fell through because of an overbooking, even though I had booked directly with the owner and got phone confirmation two weeks before the trip. I was only told the day before check-in. They blamed the reservation system and didn’t take responsibility, then offered us some random room in a partly built hotel by a roundabout. It had nothing to do with the cottage we’d planned to stay in. I can only give the service one star.

Sofia was quick to help whenever we needed anything, and the property itself was so peaceful. Pico da Vigia is even lovelier in person than in the pictures, with beautiful views and sunsets. There’s a little farm with a couple of cows and a goat, and a pair of friendly dogs came by to say hello one day. I felt more relaxed here than I have in a long time. I’d absolutely recommend it and hope to come back.

We felt at home here, with daily housekeeping, a well-stocked fridge and fresh bread delivered each morning. The ocean views are spectacular, and it’s quiet and tucked away.

Fresh bread arrived every morning, and the fridge was already stocked. Such a gorgeous setting and great service, worth every penny. It’d be perfect for a romantic getaway.
