The only little drawback for us was that the large bed’s mattress felt a bit too firm. Otherwise we were very happy with the apartment and would gladly recommend it. It’s got everything for a good holiday with four people: a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with a bathroom each, and a cosy living room. Both bedrooms have balconies, and one also opens onto the small terrace. On this south side of the island, the sun reaches the lovely terrace and balcony from the afternoon on. The landlords, Antonio and Susana, live below the apartment. They’re very nice and extremely helpful. There’s a small shop about three minutes away by car that’s open every day, and the beach is roughly a 10 minute drive.

The sunset from here is glorious, and the view has to be one of the best in Calheta. On the sunny side of the island, there were plenty of sunsets to enjoy. The owners live downstairs and were super helpful. We hope to come back soon! It’s a newly built apartment, spotlessly clean, and just a stone’s throw from bars and supermarkets. Calheta beach is a five minute drive away. Inside, there are two very spacious ensuite bedrooms and a large open-plan kitchen and lounge. Every room has a balcony, with a couple of sun loungers and tables with chairs.

The hosts were wonderful and made us feel right at home. The apartment had everything we needed for four people, and we spent some of our best moments here, watching sunsets from comfortable beds with that beautiful view.
