Moinho do Ázere

A little jewel tucked down by the river, peaceful and romantic, with hardly any coming and going or noise since it was a three-bedroom hotel. The owner was attentive and suggested restaurants. In the morning, he put together a lovely basket of local homemade food, including jam and bread. We loved it there and still dream about the place.

Sr. Rui made the stay especially welcoming, always friendly, available, and attentive. Moinhos do Azere is a real retreat, and the river Azere right beside it gives the place a special charm. Outdoors, the sound of the water and all the greenery make it easy to switch off and feel close to nature. The amenities are excellent, with the details thoughtfully arranged for comfort and well-being. I'd always be happy to return.

The host made us feel at home straight away and gave us the freedom to enjoy the whole property as if it were ours. The restored old mill has a comfortable, gentle atmosphere, with peace and almost paradise-like beauty all around. I have a lot of experience with places like this, and I can only say positive things about the property and how it's run. I loved it and highly recommend it. Many congratulations, and all the best.

The one real downside was the access. Mobile reception was also very weak, although there's free Wi-Fi. Otherwise, it's a welcoming and peaceful place with lots of green space. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and there's a shared kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals, plus a huge living room. Breakfast offered a good variety and some pleasant homemade surprises. The person in charge was extremely friendly and always ready to help.
