Quinta da Mourinha

So peaceful, clean, and welcoming, with a great pool. The bed was really comfortable, and the place has everything you need to cook if you want to. A lovely spot to recharge, with all the comforts.

I only wish I could have stayed another week or two. The couple who look after the place are so caring. They quietly come by early to check everything before guests wake up, and I only noticed because I get up early to exercise. Later in the morning, a woman takes care of the rest and is always ready to help. Everything has been done with such good taste, down to the smallest details. There’s a rare sense of peace here, and I can hardly put into words how perfect it felt. I recommend it 100%.

The pool water isn’t chlorinated, and they maintain it every day, which was a big plus for me. The owners are kind and discreet, and the place is spotless, with daily cleaning. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, so we slept peacefully. Everything is set up to help you relax and focus on your holiday. The scenery is breathtaking. I’m sad the stay had to end, but I’ll be very happy to come back.

Arcos de Valdevez is about 10 km away, with supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, monuments, and a river beach. Gerês is close too, so it’s a good base for relaxing and seeing new things. At the house there’s recycling, air conditioning, double glazing, a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, a coffee machine, toaster, kettle, and a barbecue area. The pool gets sun all day, stays warm even at night, and is lit up, so I even went for a swim after dark. The people are very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I heard several guests say they’d stay another week.
