Getting to Casas da Li takes a bit of a drive, but the view and the place are absolutely amazing when you arrive. It’s such a beautiful, relaxing spot, and the hosts really do their best to make your stay enjoyable. Our room and private bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was delicious and had everything; in the afternoon there were sandwiches and drinks available, and you could also book a delicious dinner they cook. The pool was great, especially on a hot summer day. All in all, great service and staff!

We loved having dinner here, so we ate in for three nights straight. The food is amazing, and Vasco is a kind, helpful host who always has good advice. Evenings by the pool with a glass of vinho verde are so relaxing, with a wonderful view over this peaceful place. What a lovely experience. We’ll be back, highly recommended!

We had a marvelous two days at Casas da Li. Vasco was a superb host, taking us around the countryside to small, bucolic towns, beautiful hikes, a bread-making adventure, and a visit to a high-quality quinta. The rooms were peaceful and modern, and ours had a splendid view. The setting above the valley is magical, and the meals were delectable. We’ll definitely come back.

We saw the countryside, tried the local food and wines, and got to experience it all with someone who clearly loves sharing his country. Chef Vasco welcomed us into his kitchen and made us feel like family. Our package with Ecotrilha Portugal turned out even better than we expected.

We got to bake wonderful bread in a wood oven, then eat it beneath the trees with bowls of wine. Chef Vasco also turned leftover bacalao from lunch into tasty fritters for dinner. There were hikes, wine tasting, and even a quick beer at the Spanish border. If you want to see Portugal without crowds of tourists, this is a great place to come.
