The house feels welcoming and is decorated so nicely. It's very peaceful too, and we slept wonderfully. Before the fires, the view from the window must have been spectacular. I hope 2018 brings that beautiful area back to life. Aldeias de Xisto are wonderful and deserve all of us doing our part to help them thrive. Well done, and keep up the great work. We'd love to come again with a bigger group.

This is a fantastic house on the route through the Aldeias de Xisto. You can see the care put into the decor, right down to the linens, and it works really well for a family. We were welcomed so warmly that the owner even left us a wonderful chocolate cake. That's real hospitality. Thank you, I recommend it and hope to return.

I felt misled by the photos, which only showed the ground floor. We ended up sleeping upstairs on the first floor, and it was very cramped.

I enjoyed how quiet it was, but was disappointed by the amount of space. The pictures on Booking made it look roomy, and that wasn't what we found.

The river beaches and the quiet are what stay with me. It's a warm, welcoming house, somewhere unique and almost magical. A place to live in that you don't come across anymore.
