Alberto, the owner, was hands-on and easy to reach whenever we needed him. The house itself is lovely, with its own pool and amazing views across the farm and surrounding area. It turned out to be a perfect base for exploring the region. There's loads to see nearby. I'd recommend a boat trip at Pinhao and a walk around Lamego. If you go to the church, wear comfortable shoes: it's 686 steps up, and that's a long climb.

They make a marvelous, fragrant biological apple juice here, which alone is a treat. The guest house is lovely, and the heated pool looks out over the beautiful landscape. A real must in the region. Congrats.
