Quinta Das Escomoeiras

We had such a lovely afternoon at the winery. After we messaged on WhatsApp, Fernando arranged a tour through the vines, down to the river, and around the cellar and winemaking room. He was kind and welcoming, the wine was delicious, and his hospitality really stood out. I'd highly recommend visiting.

Breakfast outside, looking over the valley, was a lovely way to start the day. The setting is secluded and private, with a wonderful track to walk along the river below. Fernando's service was fantastic. He even went to the trouble of arranging for some belongings we'd left behind to be shipped to Lisbon, which we really appreciated. We stayed three nights at Quinta das Escomoeiras and wanted more time there. We'd definitely return.

The photos don't quite capture how lovely this place is. It's a little paradise, peaceful and beautiful, where you can relax by the pool with a glass of excellent white wine from the Quinta´s own vineyard.

Vineyards, nature, a swimming pool, a river, and a bicycle path, plus the fantastic Vinho Verde of Quinta das Escomoeiras. It felt like paradise on earth. Mr. Fernando Fernandes was an awesome host and made us feel at home. An extraordinary experience!
