Casa Marialva

The owner was attentive and easy to reach, and everything was handled through the phone. The rooms were well cleaned. The drawback was the old windows, which do little to block sound, so you could hear everything happening in the street.

The booking was easy, and getting a code to enter the house meant we didn’t have to worry about arrival times. Casa Marialva is right in the center, though there’s no parking at the property. We found paid parking a few streets away. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished, and the newly renovated rooms make it easy to imagine staying a few days. I’m taking off a star because showering was really inconvenient: the water was either cold or suddenly hot, with nothing in between.

A great spot for a day or two in Arouca. The room was spotless and smelled lovely, and the water pressure was really good. The location is excellent, with parking nearby, and the value for money is great.

Lovely! The room is simple but tastefully done, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The whole house smells wonderful as soon as you walk in. This will be “my home” whenever I visit Arouca!
