Cale do Oiro - Suites Residence

The walls were so thin that we heard everything, including people returning to their rooms and snoring, and we were woken several times. Our room was much smaller than the photos suggested, barely enough space for us and our suitcase. We also couldn't get drinking water. We arrived late and couldn't find any open shops, and my partner can't drink tap water because of a chlorine allergy. That was incredibly bad. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless they're deaf or a camel 😂

The bathroom was spacious, though our room itself felt a little cramped. It would be easier to move around if they took the wardrobe doors off, since bags can go inside the wardrobe. Everything was very clean and tidy.

The welcome was warm, and we got plenty of useful information. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower, and breakfast was good too. It's only a couple of minutes on foot to the centre, and about a 10 minute walk to the train station. There's also a huge free car park a couple of minutes away. The hotel has an arty, quirky feel. There was construction next door, but that was outside the hotel's control and it didn't disturb our sleep.

We had great service from the staff, and the location in Aveiro was really convenient. A very good hotel, I'd recommend it.
