The hosts were a delight to deal with, and the house is right in the city centre. It was spotless and furnished really well, from the lounge through to the kitchen and bedrooms, with plenty of channels to choose from. There’s no parking at the property, but free parking is an easy walk away, so that wasn’t a problem. It exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back.

The host was helpful and gave us good advice, and the beds were very comfortable. The accommodation is right in the heart of Aveiro, with a free car park about five minutes away since parking in the city itself isn’t really possible. Each floor has a double room and a single room, along with a shower and toilet. The damp smell in the main room was the one unpleasant part, especially when coming downstairs in the morning.

The creaky floorboards are so loud that a nighttime trip to the bathroom can wake the whole family. There were also ants and even a centipede in the house. It’s a lovely place in the city centre, beautifully renovated, but the clothesline is in awful shape and could be replaced cheaply.

Carmen and Zita gave us such a warm welcome and really looked after us, including leaving a basket of fruit for our arrival. Carmen also pointed us to the most convenient parking for our car. The apartment is ideally placed for an evening drink, with the popular bars just steps away, and Carmen shared tips on sights and activities in the area. You feel right at home here, and I’d happily recommend it.
