A lovely base for exploring Alentejo, with many beautiful heritage towns and villages within an hour. The hotel sits near peaceful Maranhão Reservoir, among olive groves, cork trees, and wide open countryside. Its contemporary architecture fits in with the natural beauty and traditional character of rural Alentejo. The atmosphere is peaceful throughout, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant features regional food made with fresh local ingredients. I highly recommend staying here when visiting the region.

We've stayed at this hotel five or six times, and it keeps getting better. The location, gym, food, quiet, pool, evening log fire, wine... and did I mention the food? Fantastic across the board. Stay for 2-5 days and enjoy!

A great spot for a weekend away, with lots to do. There are two padel courts, a beautiful pool, and a fully equipped gym. There's also a big lake just down the hill where you can try rowing. Highly recommend it for couples or families. The hotel is lovely, set in the Alentejo countryside. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, breakfast is a treat, and the staff are so nice.

We had an amazing weekend at Herdade da Cortesia. The lake trip was incredible, and we loved the pool, breakfast, and BBQ. Thanks for everything 🫶🏻 We'll definitely be back!

There is currently no working air conditioning, and nobody told me before I arrived or at check-in. I only found out after complaining that my room wouldn't cool down. Then I was told it had been broken for a week. My room temperature showed 24.8. Unacceptable. The manager was extremely poor at customer service and offered no help finding another hotel, only saying that nobody else had complained.
