Vale Grande Hotel

There aren't many clearly marked parking spaces. The accommodation was fine, and the service was helpful.

I liked the hotel. Three stars.

The restaurant served great food.

The shower had really good pressure, which was a plus, but water still got out past the closed curtain and soaked the bathroom floor. The shower itself was quite small, and the bathroom design felt mediocre. The towel rail and heater were on the opposite side from the shower, a mildly annoying flaw. There was no extractor in the bathroom, or it wasn't working, so after showering the room turned stuffy and damp. We had to open the windows, which wasn't pleasant in the February cold. My boyfriend and I booked through an Odisseia experience that included dinner. The hotel photos on sites like Booking gave us a rather different impression from what we found, and dinner options were bitoque or entremeada. The internet was very weak, under 1 Mbps. The small TV had only four Portuguese channels and a few foreign ones, with no HDMI connection. The hotel and service were just ordinary, nothing special. What puzzled me most was the glass bathroom door. There weren't really any strong points to the stay; the rest was simply normal.
